Arcanum Elementary Recognizes National No Name-Calling Week

Friday, our theme was Spirit Day because we are all good sports if we treat each other like we are on the same team.

Arcanum Elementary recognized “National NO Name-Calling Week” January 23rd-27th. This is an annual week of educational activities aimed at ending name-calling of all kinds and providing ways to eliminate bullying in our school. Throughout the week, the student council organized a series of activities such as special theme days to help students remember to be kind to others and to be good Trojans! Teachers also had fun “catching” students who were exceptionally kind, helpful and polite to others this week. Those students were entered into a drawing at the end of the week and rewarded for their outstanding behavior! Although awareness week is over, Arcanum Elementary students are still expected to act like Trojans; showing Respect, being Responsible and Honest, and having a positive Attitude. Our guidance counselor, Mrs. Reinhart, will continue her monthly guidance lessons with each class, keeping the focus on anti-bullying and respecting others. Not only do students at Arcanum Elementary strive for excellence in the classroom, but we also strive to be role models for others and first-class citizens.
