HS Boys' Basketball Tournament Bracket



The Arcanum H.S. boys' basketball team will play its first tournament game Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 PM.  Games will be held at Troy H.S.

No School Feb. 20

There will be no school on February 20 due to President's Day.

Bake Sale Proceeds Benefits Pennies for Patients



Wednesday, February 15th, the student council hosted a bake sale during lunch to raise money for our Pennies for Patients fundraiser. Parents of student council students, along with a few staff members, provided treats for the sale. Our one day total was $207! Thanks for participating!

7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball Teams Compete for a Championship This Weekend

Both the 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball teams will be playing for Cross County Conference championships this weekend.  The 8th grade will play on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11:30 AM against Covington.  The 7th grade will play Saturday against Tri-Village at 1:00 PM.  Both games will take place at Franklin-Monroe.

On Friday afternoon, the entire Middle School student body gathered for a pep assembly to recognize the girls' basketball teams, along with the other winter sports teams. 

The 7th grade girls go into the championship game undefeated.  The 8th grade girls have only one loss on the season.  Good luck Trojans!!!

Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on March 12 and March 15. A parent may register their child by visiting the elementary office between the hours of 9:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. or between 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. in the media center on March 12 only. Parking is available in the main parking lot and parents should enter through the main school entrance.

Arcanum Elementary Recognizes National No Name-Calling Week

Friday, our theme was Spirit Day because we are all good sports if we treat each other like we are on the same team.

Arcanum Elementary recognized “National NO Name-Calling Week” January 23^rd-27^th. This is an annual week of educational activities aimed at ending name-calling of all kinds and providing ways to eliminate bullying in our school. Throughout the week, the student council organized a series of activities such as special theme days to help students remember to be kind to others and to be good Trojans! Teachers also had fun “catching” students who were exceptionally kind, helpful and polite to others this week. Those students were entered into a drawing at the end of the week and rewarded for their outstanding behavior! Although awareness week is over, Arcanum Elementary students are still expected to act like Trojans; showing Respect, being Responsible and Honest, and having a positive Attitude. Our guidance counselor, Mrs. Reinhart, will continue her monthly guidance lessons with each class, keeping the focus on anti-bullying and respecting others. Not only do students at Arcanum Elementary strive for excellence in the classroom, but we also strive to be role models for others and first-class citizens.
